The 3di licence
Licence terms
On completion of the 3di training course, trainees are awarded a licence to use the 3di software on the following terms:
This licence is without limit in time
For use by the licensee, the software may be installed in more than one setting
For example, in two clinics and on a machine used in private practice
Clinical use of the software is limited to the licensee
However, in exceptional circumstances such as the licensee’s illness, the licensee may authorise another licensed user of the 3di5 to use an existing installation
For administrative purposes such as the entry of data gathered from carers and schools the software may be used by a colleague authorised and suitably instructed by the licensee
Understanding the licence
The 3di is licenced per clinician, not per computer or by organisation. The clinician retains their licence even if they move between employers.
The licence is granted only as part of the training course. The skills to use the software depend on the training and the licence is not transferrable.
Receiving 3di training entitles you to install and use the 3di on more than one machine, for example a work desktop and a personal laptop. After training you may reinstall the 3di version you received on a different machine.
The licence pertains only to the version of the 3di software which you receive at the time of training. Newer versions of the software are released from time to time. Upgrades to new versions may be available on a chargeable basis.
